Frequently asked questions

Everything new players usually ask about joining Palsforge. Tap a question to see the answer.

Is it free to play?

Yes. All you need is your own copy of Palworld. Supporting the server is optional, and it never buys an advantage in the game.

Which platforms can join?

Steam, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Mac players all play together on Palsforge. On Steam or Mac, paste the server address into the box at the bottom of the server list. On Xbox, PS5, or the PC Game Pass / Microsoft Store version, search for "Palsforge" in the in-game community server list instead.

Do I need Discord?

No. You can join the server without it. But our Discord is where the server address goes up first on launch day, and where announcements, events and wipe notices are posted, so it's the easiest way to stay in the loop.

Can I bring my character from another world?

No. Everyone starts a fresh character on Palsforge, so we all begin on equal footing. Characters also don't move between platforms, so play on the one you plan to stick with.

Are mods allowed?

Nothing that gives you an advantage: cheats, duping tools and exploits get you banned. If you're not sure whether something is OK, ask on Discord before using it.

What happens when I die?

Death penalty: None (you keep your items, equipment and Pals).

When does the server restart?

Every day at 4:00 AM Central. It's back up within a few minutes. Daily restarts keep the server running smoothly, and the world is saved right before each one.

Will the world be wiped?

Current plan: No wipe planned. If a wipe is ever needed, we'll announce it on Discord and in the news well before it happens.

How many bases can I build?

Each guild can have up to 4 bases, with up to 20 working Pals at each. That keeps the server running smoothly for everyone. The full base rules are on the home page.

What if the server is full?

Palsforge holds up to 32 players at once. Try again in a little while, or ask on Discord.

I lost items, got stuck, or saw someone breaking the rules. What do I do?

Send a ticket on our Support page with your in-game name and what happened, and an admin will look into it. You don't need a Discord account for that. Items lost to a bug or a server problem can be restored; items you drop, trade or throw away by mistake can't.

Still have a question? Ask on our Discord, or send a support ticket.
